Hostettler

On John Hostettler's webpage - top story:

"Rep. John Hostettler (R-IN) Receives Friend of the Shareholder Award "

Quote from the article: “Recent tax cuts on capital gains and dividends, aimed directly at the growing investor class in America, reflects the changing demographics of America’s economy and electorate,” continued Clifton. “With more than 50 percent of households and nearly two-thirds of American voters invested in the market, the new investor majority continues to play a greater role in the public policy decisions facing Congress. Rep. Hostettler’s voting record demonstrates an avid commitment to protecting shareholders and enhancing economic growth in America.”

Hmm, I wonder if that majority is the majority I hear about, you know, the middle class. In which case John's doing an excellent job empowering the hardworking americans. And we know the shareholder type really cares about corporate responsibility, cause, well, you know they would let their stock price take a hit if it meant taking the proper measures to, say, reduce emissions, fairly pay the working class, provide decent health benefits, just to name a few.

Right.

Who else better to represent rich christians than a bigot who thinks homosexuals are the scum of the earth. If you're looking to vote for a real classy loser, then vote for John.

#4031 Bushism

President Bush: Peter. Are you going to ask that question with shades on?
Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times: I can take them off.
Bush: I'm interested in the shade look, seriously.
Wallsten: All right, I'll keep it, then.
Bush: For the viewers, there's no sun.
Wallsten: I guess it depends on your perspective.
Bush: Touché.
